For the post of Statistical Investigator, a Bachelors’s degree with an aggregate of 60% in Mathematics is desired. For the post of a compiler, a bachelor’s degree with elective/compulsory subjects as Mathematics, Economics or statistics from a recognized university is desired.

SSC conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination for recruitment of Data Entry Operator (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA), Sorting Assistant (SA) etc.
Educational Qualification: class XII or equivalent (12th Pass only)

Candidates opting for English medium should have typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) and those opting for Hindi medium should have typing speed of 30 words per minute (w.p.m.). 35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to about 10500 key depressions per hour and about 9000 key depressions per hour respectively. The speed will be adjudged on the accuracy of typing on the Computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes.

Multitasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination: SSC MTS
SSC MTS recruitment exam is conducted by SSC for Multi-Tasking staff post that falls under general central service group ‘C’ non-gazetted and non-ministerial posts in the Central Government Ministries/ Offices/ Departments in the various States/ UTs.
Educational Qualification: class X or equivalent (10th Pass only)
SSC conducts this Examination every year in two stages. There is no interview conducted by the SSC.
The written examination will consist of (Paper-I) objective type paper and (Paper-II) descriptive type as shown below
