SBI PO 2016 Eligibility criteria

All Indian nationals confirming to the following criteria’s will be eligible to apply.

You should hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a University recognized by Central Government or any equivalent qualification.  If you are in the Final Year/Semester of your Graduation, you may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, you will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2016.

To be eligibile for sbi po 2016, you should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2016 i.e your birthday must have been between 02.04.1986 and 01.04.1995 (both days inclusive).

SBI PO Salary

Presently the starting salary (basic pay) of SBI PO is Rs.27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of Rs. 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020. The total compensation for a sbi po per year would be a minimum of Rs. 7.55 lacs and maximum of Rs. 12.93 lacs depending on place of posting and other factors. This includes D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances.

State Bank of India PO 2016 New Pattern

The State Bank of India (SBI) has published the sbi po 2016 recruitment notification with some changes in the exam pattern. As per official news, SBI has changed the pattern of SBI PO 2016 Mains Exam. According to the new pattern, there will be section wise timings in SBI PO Mains examination. i.e. there will be fixed time allotted to each section.

SBI PO 2016 Recruitment Prelims and Mains Pattern

The sbi po 2016 recruitment exam will be held in two phases prelims and mains. Candidates who will qualify in sbi po prelims will be shortlisted for sbi po mains examination, clearing which they will subsequently be called for a Group Discussion & Interview.

SBI PO 2016 Prelims Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

You will have to qualify in each of the three sections by securing cutoff marks to be decided by the Bank. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

SBI PO 2016 Mains Exam New Pattern

SBI PO Mains Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 25 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. You can answer descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

• Objective Test:The objective test of 3 hours duration consist of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank. The SBI PO 2016 Mains New Pattern is given below:

• Descriptive Test:The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 25 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.

There will be NEGATIVE MARKING (1/4th of the max marks) for both Objective and Descriptive Tests.

All candidates who score qualify in prelims and mains would be called for GD and Interview.
